Weekly Mother’s Helper for Home Reset & Laundry in Kailua

A warm Kailua family is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Mother’s Helper to help keep their home feeling calm, organized, and cared for each week. This is a flexible, part-time role focused on light structure and a weekly reset,  general pickup, organizing, laundry, and tidying, so the home runs smoothly without the family needing to give constant direction. The ideal person takes initiative, works independently, and has a natural eye for a clean, well-ordered space.

This is a busy Kailua household with young children who value a calm, organized home. They’re flexible on days and times and want a consistent, trustworthy helper who leaves their spaces reset and refreshed each visit. They would love to build a steady, long-term working relationship with the right person.

Position Details

• Location: Kailua, Oʻahu

• Start Date: As soon as the right person is found

• Schedule: Flexible on both day and time - just prefer to be done by 6pm; 4 hours per week.

• Type: Long-term, recurring Mother’s Helper — home support, no childcare involved

Responsibilities

• Reset and declutter the home,  pick up and put away the everyday accumulation of toys, shoes, clothes, bags, snacks, and sports equipment

• Tidy and straighten living spaces so the home feels organized and uncluttered

• Laundry, wash, fold, and put away, including the children’s laundry

• Load, unload, or run the dishwasher and keep the kitchen tidy

• Organize and refresh areas that tend to pile up over time

• A light surface wipe or quick tidy as needed (this role is about resetting and organizing, not deep cleaning)

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $25/hr

• W2 employment with tax withholding

• Paid vacation and sick days

Required

• 2+ years of relevant experience (household support, home organization, housekeeping, or a similar role)

• Currently lives on Oʻahu with reliable transportation

• Strong references from recent household or care roles

• Willingness to undergo a background check
